Unipearl Alloys
is an ISO 9001:2008 certified company and
committed for Total Customer Satisfaction to
become a leading player in manufacturing of
mild steel ingots, through continual
improvement in Product Quality and upgrading
Technology.
Total Quality Control begins with every
casting produced at Unipearl Alloys being
subject to a series of quality checks.
Stringent parameters that meet international
specifications are defined in the quality
plan and samples from each batch are tested
against these norms. Extensive tests are
carried out at the in-house quality control
laboratories to ensure production of sound
defect free castings.

Input Raw Materials
The main inputs required for operation of
the alloy steel plant are Mines Iron and
Iron Scrap. The Company procure most of the
raw materials from iron mines. Scrap will be
purchased from open market i.e. scrap
wholesalers. It is also can be purchased
from Govt. Organisations in auction.
Quality control is essential in developing
the product of desired quality. This can be
broadly classified as follows:
Testing of Raw Material
This ensures that the raw material used is
of desired composition and of desired
quantity. This will save the melting cycle.
Testing of Liquid Metal
The liquid metal will be tested for absolute
composition while still in furnace. An
optical pyrometer is installed to check that
the steel is being tapped at the correct
temperature.
Testing of Final Product
The output is finally inspected to
verify conformation to the customer
requirement. |
